My first racing game was NFS 4 I've been playing racing games in the NFS manner (buttons bashing) for a few years until I met GT4. It was the game that taught me to use brakes to go faster. After 1,5 years with GT4, I 've discovered LFS. Slowly but stedialy it was turning me away from "ultimate driving simulator", and now I've just lost count of dust layers on GT4 disc...

It's actually a Sony PS2 controller and I know for a fact that all of the D-pad buttons have proportionality but there are very few PC games detect and utilise it (I think NFS is the only one I've found so far).

As for motoric skills, yes I am a noob and have only been playing for 3 days, and this is by far the most realistic racing game I've ever played.

As far as I know there aren't any PC games that support analogue buttons. Use sticks, there were a guide about setting up your gamepad in LFS somewhere in this forum

Nope, LFS buttons are assigned by default. Allthough I use Scroll Lock + Home as a combo to open Xfire windows. I guess you are right, it happend after Interface change, but its quite a weird one.

Yeah, I'm not typing in a race for a long time anymore ( had some hilarious trips into walls when tryed to which were a good lesson) Its just annoying as hell when its horning all the time.

Another Xfire question: How many times did Xfire spoil races for you with error message poping up and closing LFS?

yes, but it HAS been done, if he wants, he can use it, by using older version. People don't stop using Tweak just because its for old version

But, I have a weird problem lately...Whenever I open Xfire chat window ingame in LFS all inputs from my wheel are blocked, wheel goes to center and both gas and brake pedals are half pressed and the horn is engaged all the time the window is open (you know how dangerous it could be in a race, allthough I never type in a race). Reinstalled LFS,nothing....reinstalled Xfire nothing too...... Though it was a temporary bug,but last 3 updates of Xfire didn't change anything...
Can anyone help?

Press N a few times so the Connection list with names will appear at lower right corner of the screen. Right on the right after the players name there are buttons to send setup and vote to kick and ban buttons (depends from the server, some might have voting disabled)

Was drving on it a few times It was a quite warm winter, there was a rain at noon and in the night temprature went lower than 0 so the Tarmac was covered with thin layer of ice. Saw the guy who forgot to switch off his handbrake and was driving with rear wheels locked :lol:

Lol I lost count on 328 rolls...That happends sometimes, there was a vid about SS's clipping a wall and going into such spin on Drag strip....God "bless" lag

well actually I had this problem too, and its quite easy to fix it WITHOUT changing setup. I found out that I release brake too fast which caused sharp weight distribution change and as the set already has quite a bit of oversteer it sends the car into slide. Honestly, just release it gently. it works

I'm sorry if this was already asked before but I have some problems running this game. I've installed, ran it, set everything, press on single race....and the PC freeezes....I've changed graphics to the lowest, including shaders but still no luck. Race runs finely on my PC(even tho its ancient...)

Any tips?

Basicly, you just start the program, in my case, gears are already assigned to the right places (didn't change anything myself, just installed and played) for H-shifter, but as the joystick doesn't have FFB you either have to hold it in the right position manually all the time (which is both stupid and uncomfortable) or use it as sequental shifter (which is easily doable).
Just start up the program then start LFS, go to options -> controllers -> and change gear up and gear down buttons with the move of joystick you want to use. Note that Virtual shifter converts Joystick position into button of keabord so you won't be able to use buttons on the joystick. You also will have to start the program before starting LFS or it wont work.

TBH I played with it a bit and vent back to use paddles

I agree with 2 post above and one more thing... You call crashing into hills stunting? It is called crashing. Stunting is doing wheeiles, stoppies, driving on 2 wheels etc. but not crashing....
